The new Indian constitution was sketched and approved by the Indian Constituent Assembly and decided to celebrate it on 26th of January every year as India became a republic country.

Chief Guest on Republic Day of India 2016

The chief guest on Republic Day of India in 2016 will be the French President Francois Hollande. As per the media report, it has been confirmed that he will be the chief guest of Republic Day parade 26th of January 2016.

What would be Special on Republic Day of India 2016

*On this Republic Day of India:

This is first time in the Indian history since 1950 that French contingent will participate in the Republic Day parade of India together with the Indian armed forces.

* Indian army dogs will also be at the parade after so many years . 

"On this special day , Let's promise our Motherland that we will do everything to enrich and preserve our Heritage , Ethos and our Treasure "
